Lindsay Lohan says she only borrowed necklace she's being investigated about

February 2, 2011 - Lindsay Lohan is speaking out about the necklace she is being accused of stealing and says she only borrowed it.

Sources told TMZ that Lindsay was at the jewelry store where she got the necklace on January 22 and the piece of jewelry was loaned to her.

The starlet claims that she gave it back to a stylist, who was to return it for her, but apparently forgot to do so. "I didn't have any part in the non-returning on time." Lindsay said, according to the source.

The police have described the necklace as "one of a kind" and worth $2,500. A search warrant was issued for police to search Lindsay's home, but before they could do so the necklace was returned.

The Mean Girls actress also said that it was the stylist the one who returned the necklace to the LAPD last night, upon learning that an investigation was opened on the expensive piece of Jewelry.
