Big complications arise on 'The Vampire Diaries' episode 'Daddy Issues'

February 4, 2011 - Some major complications surfaced during Thursday night's Vampire Diaries episode, Daddy Issues.

To begin with, a feud between werewolves and vampires has started, and it left poor Tyler (Michael Trevino) in the middle of it. The young werewolf has no idea of what's going on and no one has told him anything. No wonder he is confused and does not know which side to pick.

Then, making everyone wary is Uncle John (David Anders); why is he back? Obviously he is up to something and now we know it involves getting Katherine (Nina Dobrev) out of the tomb.

 For some reason, Isobel, Katherine and John do not want Klaus making an appearance in Mystic Falls. On the other hand, Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Jonas do want him to get there; again we don't know exactly for what.

Another complication that arose in Daddy Issues is the fact that Jules (Michaela McManus) and her furry friends know about the moonstone too. So, are they aware of the curse, and do they want to lift it as well?

Now, for the smaller, but still notable issues... It seems as if Tyler's mom knows about the supernatural going-ons in town as she told Uncle John that Damon (Ian Somerhalder) is now in charge of the Council. How much does she know?

What about Damon? Will he be able to control himself? Hopefully by "snacking" on Andie, it will keep him from killing anyone else...

Oh, and how about that look the Elena gave him when Andie was trying to pick Damon up at the bar... was that a look of - dare we say - jealousy? It sure seemed that way. Is Elena finally realizing she may just have a small smidgen of feelings for Damon?
