DWTS: Brandy's rumba is sultry, Kurt's falls short, Rick's tango disconnected

It's acoustic night on Monday's episode of Dancing With the Stars and the contestants dance rumbas and Argentine tangos on a new stage. The first three contestants came out and each was scored on technicality and performance.

First out on the dance floor was Kurt Warner, who performed a rumba with Anna Trebunskaya. It took some practicing to get Kurt to feel comfortable dancing in an intimate way with some one other than his wife.

In the end he got looser, but his performance was not enough to impress the judges and they claimed that his dance was not very fluid in its movement.

Dancing with the Stars: Latin Cardio DanceBrandy danced a rumba with partner Maks Chmerkovkiy that got good remarks from the judges. Their chemistry was praised as was their movement on the floor. They earned a score of 22 for technical and 26 for performance for a total of 48.

Then, Rick came out to dance an Argentine Tango with pro dancer Cheryl Burke, but it felt disconnected according to the judges. The movements were a little harsh and the dance didn't flow right.

  1. Jennifer Grey was fantastic! But is it another Nicole thing where she was already a professional? I like to see the ones that can't dance and they learn on the show...
