The Emmy Awards 2010: Fashion trends and big time winners

Emmys The Emmy Awards 2010: Fashion trends and big time winners

The 62nd Emmy Awards took place on Sunday night at the NOKIA Theater in L.A. and aired live on NBC. The prestigious Primetime Television ceremony was hosted by Jimmy Fallon, who did not disappoint with his wittiness and humor.
The fashions were outrageous as usual, with several tasteful trends as well as the ever present flops. A recurring look Sunday night was that of either black or white, with stars such as Kim Kardashian, Brooke Burke, Julie Benz and Rose Byrne opting for the white and Heidi Klum, Eva Longoria, Kelly Osbourne and Paula Abdul in all black.
Other colors that worked well on the red carpet were navy blue, red, and metallic silver and gold tones.

Some of the flops include Dianna Agron with a dress that resembled a tablecloth, Rita Wilson with a white dress that was covered with what looked like a chandelier, Lily Tomlin who wore a baggy zebra print mismatch ensemble and Sephanie Pratt with an outfit that seemed to be missing the bottom half.

Kyra Sedgwick, Mad Men, Modern Family and Bryan Cranston among big winners at 2010 Emmy Awards

Emmy winners included, Sheldon Cooper for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, Kyra Sedgwick for Lead Actress in a Drama Series, Modern Family as Outstanding Comedy Series, Mad Men as Outstanding Drama Series and Top Chef as Outstanding Reality Competition.

Top Chef was the upset winner in a reality series, and Glee did not win as many awards as many thought, but all in all it was quite an eventful evening and many deserving winners took home the coveted Emmy award.
