Penelope Cruz and her husband Javier Bardem welcomed their new baby together on Tuesday.
The Vicky Cristina Barcelona star gave birth at Cedars Sinai Hospital in L.A. as reported by the Spanish newspaper El Pais.
Penelope, 36, first gave news of being pregnant while she was in Puerto Rico filming Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Just two months earlier the star and fellow Spanish actor Javier took their vows in a secret ceremony attended only by close friends and family.
The rumors that the couple was dating were very common much before they finally got married. Most assumed they were together, but the pair was very quiet about their relationship.
When asked about Javier, 41, some time ago, Penelope simply answered, "He's a friend and the best actor in the world."
The gender and name have not yet been officially announced, but reports say that the baby is a boy.
