'Dancing With the Stars' week 9 - the semifinals

It's week 9 on Dancing With the Stars and only four couples remained for Monday's semifinals. The contestants performed two dances for a total 60 points total.

Continuing her comeback was Jennifer Grey, who scored a perfect 30 in both of her dances with partner Derek Hough for a total of 60 points. Judge Bruno Tonioli complemented her routine by saying, "You need to go in anger management. … You danced like a fury."

Bristol Palin amazed the judges with her paso doble, earning a score of 27, her and parter Mark Ballas highest yet. Carrie Ann Inaba was so inspired by the teen activist's leap forward that she called her over for a hug.

"I'm so happy to see you finally come out of your shell and nail it." She said.

On her waltz, Bristol got equally good praises, except for a small critique from Carrie Ann, which caused the audience to boo. Len Goodman, however, was very impressed and said, "This had a haunting feeling about it. … I can't agree with Carrie Ann, I thought it was beautiful."

Dancing with the Stars: Latin Cardio DanceKyle Massey earned a score of 29 for his samba. "I think you've got a bionic bum. … You had more bounce to the ounce than anyone else this season." Len told him, while Bruno said, "You truly are a bouncing bundle of joy."

The teen actor's second dance with partner Lacey Schwimmer was an Argentine tango, which also earned him 29 points"You are season 11's Mr. Charisma,"said Carrie Ann.

Also earning perfect 10's for the night was Brandy, although for her first dance, a paso doble, she and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy earned a 27. But, it was her second performance, an Argentine tango, that the judges loved, where she scored her 30.

Kurt Warner unhappy with his 'DWTS' elimination on Tuesday

"Lush, languid, voluptuous, full of flavor, great emotional depth. … Stunning!" Len gushed.
So, again, Jennifer is at the top of the score board, while Bristol remains at the bottom, although she did get her best scores of the season this week.

  1. THE FINALES: The host of DWTS referred to Kyle's style of dancing as Ghetto? I thought it was Hip Hop Dancing. The judge said Kyle was dancing in his element? I just have not felt good at all about them being so tough on Kyle the entire season, everyone of the judges have been rude to him and many of the other male dancers as well. Kyle stands there taking it all in with a smile and they have not been able to change his positive attitude. I admire him for that, it shows real character. Jennifer is a great dancer but tonight I wonder why she came out with the water melon in her arms, instead of coming out dancing with a BANG like Kyle did, I didn't get it, guess I am missing something. Bristol, ALL the judges immediately start off making excuses for her, being sensitive towards her feeling, it is really ashame

  2. It was too easy that Jennifer won... I mean she's did a movie about dancing! Oh well... at least Kyle and Bristol, who had no clue how to dance made it almost to the end, they were my faves all the way.
