Coming as no surprise to most, Portman won for Best Actress in Black Swan, where she portrayed a ballet dancer whose obsession with dance makes her go insane.
Although it is a good film in and of itself, Black Swan quickly became known for its riské lesbian scene between Natalie and her co star, Mila Kunis. Kunis, was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress, but that award went to Melissa Leo for her work in The Fighter.
