On December 8, Ian Somerhalder of The Vampire Diaries celebrated his birthday by spending the whole day naked in the shower with a beautiful girl.

 
"I had a shower scene that led into another scene were I was kind of half-naked and wet." Ian said, explaining that he was actually working on the hit CW show.

However, Ian would not confirm if the "beautiful girl" was Elena, the TVD character played by Nina Dobrev, whom Ian's character, Damon, is in love with.

Although he did say that, "Damon has a long way to go. He tried to kill her brother," which makes it quite unlikely that it was her...

Also on his birthday, Ian launched a non-profit foundation to help the environment and animals, which is named after him. The organization takes donations and also lets people know how to get involved in causes to help biodiversity, deforestation and sustainable farming.
