The Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder spoke with TVGuide about his character Damon's relationship with his brother Stefan (Paul Wesley) on the show.

At the beginning of the hit CW series, vampire bad boy Damon did not care about his brother and fellow vamp Stefan. But, as the series has evolved, Damon's softer side has emerged and a new understanding exists between both of them.

On December 8, Ian Somerhalder of The Vampire Diaries celebrated his birthday by spending the whole day naked in the shower with a beautiful girl.

 
"I had a shower scene that led into another scene were I was kind of half-naked and wet." Ian said, explaining that he was actually working on the hit CW show.

'Vampire Diaries: The Sacrifice' new clip featuring Elena and mysterious intrude
 

The long awaited new Vampire Diaries episode The Sacrifice will finally air on Thursday, and the CW has released another teaser video clip for us to fawn over while we wait.

The clip features Elena (Nina Dobrev) as she tries to sleep while hearing some noises in her room. She turns to look at the door, but turns back when she doesn't see anything there.
