Kate Gosselin's reality series, Kate Plus 8, gets cancelled

The once popular reality series, Kate Plus 8, has been cancelled by TLC on Monday, after a steady decline in viewership since last season.

Examiner.com reports that TLC has made an announcement stating that the current season of the show will be its last.  In a statement, a TLC rep said the following:

"TLC has decided not to renew another season of Kate Plus 8. By the end of this season Kate Plus 8 will have hit the 150 episode mark (includingJon & Kate Plus 8); an exceptional milestone. TLC hopes to check in with Kate and the family periodically with specials in the future."

Later, Kate Gosselin took on to Twitter to write about the bad news herself.

"TLC canceled it. I'm sorry. We've had a great run! Six years of whirlwind fun-filled adventures." Kate Tweeted, "Thanks to TLC and our many, many supportive and diehard fans!
